Union County College Student Resources

Union County College Online Scholarship Applications for the 2012-2013 school year will be reopened effective Friday, 10/12/12 for Spring awards, for those who have not submitted an application for this current academic year.

For those who have already submitted a scholarship application for the Fall 2012 semester, your application will remain in consideration for any new or un-awarded scholarships. 

Scholarship eligibility and award notifications will be sent directly to student Owl's Nest email accounts.  There you will be able to view scholarship awards, if selected.  Applications will remain open until December 15, 2012.        
The Scholarship application is accessible through Owl's Nest only.

Tips for Thank-You Letters

If you are the recipient of a scholarship, a letter thanking the donor is a must. Below are some tips that can help with the process.

• Date your letter
• Use “Dear NAME OF SCHOLARSHIP donor,” OR mention the scholarship name in the text of the letter.
• Be sincere in saying “thank you”
• Mention your major and favorite subject or classes
• Mention your personal goals
• Mention your Union County College activities
• Share what this help means to you
• End with “Sincerely” and your whole name
