STUDENTS SAY THANK YOU!

Student scholarship recipients write letters of appreciation to their benefactors in care of the Foundation. Students get a chance to say "thank you" in person at the Scholarship Reception each spring.

"I have been trying to complete my degree while continuing to work full time to support my family of seven.  Receiving your award not only helps to lift part of the financial burden from me and my family, but it also provides a sense of motivation."

"I know my hard work and dedication will pay off because of people like you.  You have given me hope to keep going and never give up because hard work does pay off in the end...You have given me the greatest opportunity to complete my education and reach my goal in life."

"Your contribution is making a significant impact on helping me complete my education.  Due to the fact that my education goals had been on hold for so many years, I am especially grateful because I now feel that the financial burden will be minimized and I will be able to get further.  Today I see the realization of that dream in the near future, thanks to you."

"This scholarship has not only allowed me to finance my education, but has also encouraged me to keep my academic and social standards high.  As a non-traditional student who works and maintains a home life, it is an honor to be recognized because of the perseverance that has allowed me this wonderful chance.  My gratitude goes far beyond words and I greatly appreciate your contribution toward my education."

"It was an honor to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious award.  Your support has alleviated the added burden associated with the cost of tuition and for that I thank you immensely.  I truly value my education at Union County College, and this scholarship had afforded me the opportunity to continue with my educational pursuits."

"I have dreamed of attending medical school ever since I was young and now that I have been named as one of the recipients for this scholarship program my dream is becoming a reality. I am glad to have an opportunity to thank you personally for your generosity. Without scholarship patrons like you, there would be many students such as myself unable to pursue the career they've dreamed of. My future plans include pursuing the career of a Registered Nurse. I not only have a passion for nursing but also enjoy working with people."

"I am honored to be one of the scholarship recipients.  Thanks to your generous support I am the first in my family to attend college.  Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges, but it has more importantly made me realize the value of a college education.  I offer my sincerest thanks for your continued generosity to me."

"I would like to thank you for your support through my academic achievements. I truly appreciate you taking the time to reach out and help students like myself so that we can progress in our education. Thank you for making it financially easier for me to go to school and continue my education at a steady pace. This allows me to focus on my academic courses throughout the semester without dealing with a financial strain that may have caused difficulty in maintaining my course credits."

""I am honored to be the recipient of the Scholarship. Thanks to your generous support I am the first in my family to attend college. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. The financial assistance you provided was a great help to me in paying some of my educational expenses, and it also allowed me to concentrate more on my studies. Thank you again for your generosity and support. I promise you I will work very hard to pursue my dream, and eventually give back to others, both as teacher and possibly a scholarship to future students."
